CNC Milled Parts

CNC Milled Parts are cut on machining centers where the workpiece stays fixed and the tool moves, which suits prismatic shapes, pockets, slots, tooth profiles and multiple faces machined in one setup. This series includes external gears, internal spline rings and complex aluminum or brass bodies with bores, flats and cross holes. Gear and spline parts are machined to the tooth profile specified in your drawing - module or diametral pitch, pressure angle, tooth count and run-out - then heat treated to the required hardness [TBC]. Tooth thickness and run-out are measured per batch so that engagement stays smooth and quiet and the transmission life is predictable. Multi-face bodies are machined with indexed setups or a fourth axis, keeping hole positions and face parallelism inside tolerance instead of stacking three separate operations. Materials are medium-carbon and alloy steel for gears, and aluminum 6061/6063 or brass for housings and structural bodies; heat treatment, anodizing, plating and polishing are available. Where the design allows, we also machine matching mating parts together so that fits are guaranteed at assembly rather than sorted on site. Typical applications are gearboxes, pumps, actuators, power tools, automation frames, camera accessories and electronic enclosures. Prototype quantities can be delivered quickly for functional testing, and the same programs then run volume production. Send a PDF or CAD drawing with tolerances marked, and our engineers will confirm the process route, lead time and price. Gear and spline work depends on parameters that must be complete before quoting: module or diametral pitch, pressure angle, tooth count, helix angle, profile shift and the accuracy grade you need. Heat treatment after machining distorts teeth slightly, so for hardened gears we plan the process sequence - rough machine, heat treat, finish machine or grind - and quote accordingly. For prismatic bodies, tell us which faces are functional; we will choose the setup and fourth-axis strategy that keeps the functional faces true to each other, and leave non-functional surfaces at general tolerance to control cost. Inspection uses a profile projector, pin gauges and a coordinate measuring machine for critical positions, and reports are issued per batch so incoming inspection on your side can be reduced to a document check. Beyond single parts we also machine matched pairs - a gear with its mating spline ring, a housing with its cover - so that fits are verified before shipment rather than at your assembly station, and if a design is not yet released, send a 3D model and our engineers will comment on manufacturability and quote the process options that differ materially in cost.
